Featuring the "Hit" Proven MCI JH600 Console, Studio D is a comfortable recording environment with a high end HD2 digital Pro Tools recording system. It offers solo artists and bands an affordable alternative to expensive sound studios with many of the same bells and whistles!

Engineers

Our experienced engineers will help bring out the best in your music. From professional recording to mixing, our talented and friendly staff pride themselves on taking a real interest in making your project a success. Meet with Blaine or Keith for a free production meeting at your leisure. They will help prepare you for your upcoming session, discuss the most efficient way to achieve your desired results, and provide a warm and caring touch to your entire project.

Equipment

Expensive and professional mics from Neumann and AKG , micpreamps from Focusrite and API, compressors and limiters from Urei and Distressor , along with many other pro audio processors. Various keyboards and sound modules give Studio D the musical power to achieve terrific sounds. Additionally, many of the "higher end" processors are available from Cue's other studios for use in Studio D free of charge. Some of our keyboards usually available are the Nord Lead 2 synthesizer, Roland JV1080, Korg 01W, Roland D-50, a vintage Micro Moog, a Yamaha Motif-6 and a Korg Triton. Various guitars, amps, drum sets, and percussion instruments can be scheduled free of charge. Call to reserve a Marshall 100 watt head and cabinet,or Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier Head.

Tracking

"Tracking" is the "recording process" and one of Studio D's strong points. With its hardwood oak floors, fabric and soundboard covered walls, and stained wooden slats throughout, Studio D projects a warm and acoustically pleasing atmosphere. Drums sound awesome, guitar amps crank, and acoustic instruments sparkle!

Mixing

Compiling all your great sounding tracks together is called "mixing". Studio D uses the automated Pro Tools system with tons of "plug-ins" for stellar results. If a more elaborate mixing environment is needed, we can transfer your session tracks to Studio "A" or Studio "B". This is a proven way to take advantage of Cue's platinum winning mix rooms where many major label artists work.

Rates

Competitive and affordable rates are one of many reasons artists on a budget choose Studio D. Our low hourly rate of $55.00 per hour can be further reduced to $50.00 per hour if a ten hour block is booked and paid for in advance. Music production and studio musician services are also available for nominal fees.
