The Cue Recording engineering program has revolutionized the way modern recording courses have been taught for the past 30 years.  You will learn more quickly, implement your training immediately and with increased confidence, and at the same time enjoy huge savings from typical course tuition fees.  How do we do this?  With custom tailored "one on one" instruction.

We also offer a "four students only" course which includes everything below, including Cue's very own Ken Schubert for 50 hours.  The benefit to this program is the reduction in tuition and a small group setting that certain students may prefer. Attendance is weekly with two optional session times.

  • Spend (50) hours with Cue's Ken Schubert,  in Control Room "A".
Just you, the engineer / instructor, and an SSL console with Pro Tools.

  • Learn real world studio engineering you can apply, not just book theory.
Learn microphone placement, brands and types. Use microphone preamps, equalizers,
tube compressors, digital reverbs and effects processors.  Edit, pan, automate fader moves,
and much more in the Pro Tools domain. Record live musicians and electronic instruments,
then perform several "mixdowns" of your final recording.

  • Learn Ken's techniques and tricks during a focused studio engineering curriculum.

  • Ken recorded a Billboard #1 Hit, has (10) Gold & Platinum awards, and 17 years experience.
These are the types of credentials you seldom find but should expect from a world class instructor.

  • Learn at your pace, with your questions, during your private education.

  • Enjoy an additional (15) hours of Pro Tools instruction with John Krauss in our
    music production room.

  • Course times are flexible during the day, night and weekends.

  • Receive a recording studio course Certificate of Completion after your final "mix".

  • Participate in Cue Recording Studio's intern program with automatic acceptance guaranteed.
Observe studio management tactics, client / staff interaction, and other essential studio survival skills.

  • Develop your new recording skills unassisted for five hours in Cue's Studio "B".

  • Receive a CD of your mixdown with Ken.

  • Learn the basics of Mastering.  "Master" your mixdown in Cue's mastering studio
and experience this process first hand.

  • Receive the industry standard recording engineering textbook / handbook.

  • Get the real deal on what a world class studio owner looks for in a new recording
engineer during a one hour meeting with Cue's founder and CEO Jeff Jeffrey.

  • Why waste time in a classroom with forty other students on different learning levels,
and paying course fees up to $30,000.00?  The smart way is to learn at your own level
and pace. This "one on one" technique is much faster and more financially
    advantageous for the serious student.
